Pilot breaks records as Solar Impulse nears Hawaii for a sunrise landing on Friday

The Solar Impulse 2 solar-powered aircraft began its flight over the Hawaiian Islands Thursday as pilot André Borschberg passed 100 hours in the air, breaking all distance and duration world records for solar aviation as well as the record for the longest solo flight previously held by Steve Fossett for his flight in 2006.
