
An federal appellate court is considering a motion by plaintiffs in a complaint filed against Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville and its parent company HCA to certify the case as a class-action lawsuit.
The lawsuit was filed last October by four Florida residents who received care at Memorial Hospital and other Florida medical centers run by HCA claiming they were billed “exorbitant and unreasonable fees” for emergency radiological services.
