
The state of Hawaii will receive $920,000 as part of a $136 million national settlement with Chase Bank USA N.A. and Chase Bankcard Services Inc. over its unlawful credit card debt collection practices.
Chase will pay $136 million to the participating 47 states, the District of Columbia and $30 million to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. The payment will be used to fund consumer education, consumer outreach, consumer protection enforcement or consumer protection litigation.
