Hawaii to receive nearly $1M in Chase Bank credit card settlement

The state of Hawaii will receive $920,000 as part of a $136 million national settlement with Chase Bank USA N.A. and Chase Bankcard Services Inc. over its unlawful credit card debt collection practices. Chase will pay $136 million to the participating 47 states, the District of Columbia and $30 million to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
