
U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand and New York state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman were in Long Island recently to announce a new push to ban plastic microbeads in personal care products.
In a ceremony at the Long Island Maritime Museum on July 20 where she was accompanied by state and environmental leaders, Gillibrand introduced the bipartisan Microbead-Free Waters Act of 2015.
