Hawaiian Airlines' parent expands interisland cargo service with purchase of three new planes

The parent company of Hawaiian Airlines will purchase three ATR 72 turboprop aircraft in an all-cargo configuration to expand its interisland shipping services under its Ohana by Hawaiian brand, the company announced Tuesday. Hawaiian Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: HA) will take delivery of the planes later this year and launch the service in the first half of 2016 with flights between Honolulu, Kona, Kahului, Lihue and Hilo.
