5 airlines investigated for price gouging after Amtrak crash

As part of a price-gouging investigation, the U.S. Department of Transportation has sent letters to five major U.S. air carriers, including American Airlines, Delta Airlines, JetBlue, Southwest Airlines and United Airlines, asking for pricing information during a temporary shutdown of Amtrak’s northeast corridor in May after a deadly trail derailment.
