As Post & Schell announced that it had selected a new CEO this week, lawyer turnover emanating from its shifting practice focus continued. The 135-lawyer firm has pulled away from its focus on lower-rate insurance defense litigation over the past decade and has added several higher rate, niche practices — largely in highly regulated industries such as health care and energy. This week's churn at the firm seems consistent with that pattern.
