Chelmsford lawyer scores $3M verdict in defamation lawsuit

A jury awarded $2.9 million to a Chelmsford attorney and former town selectman in his lawsuit claiming a business owner repeatedly defamed him by saying he illegally used his public position to help his father’s company construct an office building.
