
Planet Labs, a five-year old company founded by three former NASA engineers, has launched 73 micro-satellites into space — including two on Jan. 10 aboard a SpaceX rocket — and it is delivering images of Earth to paying clients.
That achievement has helped the San Francisco company raise $95 million of new funding, including a new $70 million equity round led by Data Collective and $25 million of debt supplied by Western Technology Investment.
