Auto theft, fraud grant funds allocated to WNY authorities

Erie and Niagara counties will receive over $434,000 in state grant money to combat motor vehicle theft and insurance fraud. The funding is part of $3.7 million the state is allocating to district attorneys' offices and police departments in seven counties and New York City, the Fire Department of New York, as well as to two training organizations.
