Doug Chin, a managing partner at the Honolulu law firm Carlsmith Ball and former managing dierctor for the City and County of Honolulu, will be Hawaii's next attorney general, Gov. David Ige's office said Friday.
Chin, who will leave his current position at Carlsmith Ball to take the state's top legal post, previously spent 12 years with the Honolulu prosecuting attorney's office.
