
IHOP plans to open a new restaurant at the Lanihau Center in Kailua-Kona on the Big Island, according to Honolulu-based Beall Corp., the leasing firm for the center.
The 2,895-square-foot establishment, which will be located next to Famous Footwear, will be the third franchise of Vince Espinosa, who also owns the Hilo and two Waikiki locations.
IHOP Hawaii, which recently closed down its Windward Mall restaurant that is being replaced by a Big City Diner, also has a location in Pearl City.
