New York officials plan to file a $180 million lawsuit on Wednesday against Atlanta-based United Parcel Service over what they say is the delivery of untaxed cigarettes, the Albany Times Union is reporting.
State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman and New York City corporation counsel Zachary Carter allege UPS (NYSE: UPS) delivered nearly 700,000 cartons (more than 78,500 illegal shipments in all) in New York between 2010 and 2014, the paper says.
