
An internal audit was launched by the University of Houston to investigate the contracting process for its new $128 million TDECU stadium.
Auditors told the UH Board of Regents, which is chaired by Houston billionaire and CEO of Landry's Inc. Tilman Fertitta, that the contracting process was compromised because all relevant details weren't provided when officials sought proposals. But auditors added that omissions by the current contractors was not intentional, according to the Houston Chronicle.
