Apple, hit with $532.9 million patent verdict in Texas, considers options

Apple Inc. was ordered to pay Smartflash $532.9 million after a federal jury decided iTunes software used patented inventions without permission, raising new questions about how Silicon Valley tech firms can navigate the perilous world of intellectual property.
