Schneiderman's microbead battle being fought at federal level

U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand and New York state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman were in Long Island recently to announce a new push to ban plastic microbeads in personal care products. In a ceremony at the Long Island Maritime Museum on July 20 where she was accompanied by state and environmental leaders, Gillibrand introduced the bipartisan Microbead-Free Waters Act of 2015. Tampa man sentenced for credit card 'skimming' fraud

Dariel Sardinas Lopez, 22, of Tampa has been sentenced to four years in federal prison for credit card fraud and ID theft, in relation to a card number "skimming" scheme at local gas stations. Sardinas Lopez pleaded guilty in April. Court documents show he created and trafficked counterfeit credit cards, which were encoded with numbers and information of victims of skimming at the gas stations.
