UPMC appeals chemotherapy case to Superior Court

UPMC has appealed a Common Pleas Court ruling to Superior Court in a case that is holding up millions of dollars in payment for chemotherapy the hospital giant provided to Highmark members. Judge Christine Ward March 24 denied UPMC’s request to order arbitration in a lawsuit Highmark filed last year against UPMC over higher chemotherapy billings.
