
Overland Park-based Sprint Corp. won $27.6 million in damages Friday from Comcast Corp. in a patent infringement case.
After a one-week trial, a federal jury in Delaware found that Comcast infringed on Sprint patents by "making and using SONET ring networks in particular markets," according to court documents. The technology at issue is used to deliver data over fiber-optic networks.
