Chesapeake Energy Corp., Aubrey McClendon's former company, has sued the oil and gas magnate, alleging he stole confidential data and trade secrets to help start his new company.
Both companies are major players in Ohio's Utica shale play. Chesapeake holds the most acreage in Ohio, and McClendon's American Energy Partners LP holds the third-most.
