KC restaurateur loses appeal in Hereford House arson case

Former Hereford House owner Rodney Anderson and two others convicted in a fire that destroyed a downtown restaurant saw an appeal go up in flames on Thursday. The Eight Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals denied an appeal by Anderson, Vincent Pisciotta and Mark Sorrentino. The appeals court denied motions that the trial court erred in applying a rule regarding the use of fire in the commission of a felony, violated the double jeopardy clause by applying several punishments for the same offense.
