
Five years after the Deepwater Horizon disaster, a former executive of BP PLC (NYSE: BP) has been found not guilty of making false statements to investigators in connection with the subsequent oil spill, the Associated Press reports.
David Rainey, a former vice president of exploration for London-based BP, had a charge of obstructing a congressional investigation dismissed earlier this week, the AP reports. Other former BP employees are also facing charges.
