Bob Myers, the Golden State Warriors general manager who rolled the dice with a head coaching change after a respectable 51-win season, was named NBA Basketball Executive of the Year, the league said Friday.
Myers is just the second Warriors executive to win the award, joining Dick Vertlieb, who was general manager of the NBA championship team in 1974-75.
