Former Maryland transportation chief Jim Smith joins University of Baltimore

Jim Smith isn’t leaving public life entirely after his stint as the head of the state’s transportation agency. The former transportation secretary and Baltimore County executive has been named executive in residence with University of Baltimore’s Schaefer Center for Public Policy.
