FIFA faces widespread corruption charges

An FBI investigation has led to the arrests of top FIFA officials, The New York Times reports. Fourteen individuals, including nine soccer officials, were indicted on corruption charges. The FBI alleges the corruption spanned more than two decades and involves bribes for marketing and broadcast deals as well as bids for World Cups.
