The war for talent spurred this law firm to offer 22 weeks of paid parental leave — but will women take it?

To stem the loss of talented female attorneys, Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe — the law firm that successfully represented VC firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers in the gender discrimination case brought by Ellen Pao — is now offering a more robust parental leave policy. The firm announced this month that attorneys who are primary caregivers (male or female) can now take 22 weeks of paid paternal leave, with the option to take up to nine months with job security.
