The shell game: Wire fraud conviction

In 1982, Bengt Stenbock pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud. Prosecutors alleged Stenbock and three co-defendants, who worked together at an insurance brokerage, generated commissions by writing bogus contracts for fictitious people who lived at nonexistent addresses. The guilty plea and indictment appear below.
