
A Hawaii state court has overturned an emergency rule the state had put in place to restrict access to the Mauna Kea volcano on the Big Island, where protesters had blocked the road leading to the site of the proposed Thirty Meter Telescope.
The emergency rule, which was intended to prevent people from camping out overnight on the mountain and was signed by Gov. David Ige in July, was to set to expire last month.
But on Friday, the 3rd Circuit Court granted a partial motion for summary judgment…
