Green laser pointers targeted for ban to help protect aircraft

U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer is calling on the Food and Drug Administration to use its authority to ban the public sale of high-powered, long-range green laser pointers. His push comes on the heels of multiple incidents in which green lasers were pointed at aircrafts and temporarily blinded and disoriented pilots mid-flight.
