Denver hearings on EPA's Clean Power Plan draw a crowd

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on Monday held the first of a two-day set of hearings on the new federal “Clean Power Plan.” The plan's target is to cut carbon dioxide pollution nationwide by 32 percent by 2030, compared to 2005 levels. Nearly 100 people signed up to speak on Monday at the hearing, held at the EPA’s Region 8 offices in downtown Denver, with more people planning to offer their views Tuesday, weather permitting.
