Pot, solar proposals get ballot slots

A utility-backed proposal about solar energy would be amendment number 1 on the November ballot, while a medical-marijuana initiative is slotted for the second position.

Secretary of State Ken Detzner issued certificates Tuesday for the ballot positions for the proposed constitutional amendments, one day after a petition deadline for groups seeking to get on the ballot. Groups had to submit the signatures of 683,149 Florida voters to qualify.
