Hawaii Pacific University has selected Villanova Law School Dean John Gotanda as the university’s next president, effective in June, the university announced Monday.The Honolulu native will take position June 30, replacing current president Dr. Geoffrey Bannister, who will retire on July 1 after five years.
Gotanda, a Roosevelt High School and University of Hawaii at Manoa graduate, received a law degree from the William S. Richardson School of Law in 1987.
