Time Warner Cable Inc. (NYSE: TWC) is being pinched with a nearly $230,000 fine for making a string of robocalls to a woman in Texas.
A federal judge in New York ruled Tuesday that TWC must pay Araceli King a total of $229,500: $1,500 each for 153 calls made to King's mobile phone in less than a year, according to a Reuters report. The news service noted the calls were made via an "interactive voice response" system meant for customers with past-due bills.
