Judge issues ruling in suit seeking to block arena construction

The last legal challenge to Sacramento's downtown arena appears to be over. A Sacramento judge on Friday dismissed all claims that city officials provided a “secret subsidy” to get the deal done. Judge Timothy M. Frawley’s ruling concludes that the plaintiffs couldn’t prove a direct subsidy or back up claims that it was done in secret.
