With delegation trip to Cuba, Houston wants to expand reputation as international business hub

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner led a delegation of prominent Houstonians on a milestone trip to Havana, Cuba, Sept. 25 to pitch how Houston and its businesses can benefit the island nation.

Accompanying the mayor on the trip were executives from Siemens, Halliburton Co. and United Airlines; several members of the Greater Houston Partnership; Houston Texans president Jamey Rootes; Texas Medical Center CEO Dr. Bobby Robbins; and officials from the Port of Houston and the Houston Airport System.
