KC tax preparer pleads guilty to fraud

Harry George Jr. pleaded guilty Tuesday in federal court to aiding in the preparation and filing of fraudulent income tax returns.

George was the owner of Xpress Tax KC LLC at 905 Prospect Ave. in Kansas City. He admitted to preparing 51 false returns that resulted in a tax loss of $116,946. He would include false and fraudulent filing status, education credits, American opportunity credits, Schedule A's, earned income tax credits, additional child credits, retirement savings contribution credits…
