Design firm gets boost from Missouri's newest state park

When Missouri's newest state park opened July 30, Gov. Jay Nixon called Echo Bluff State Park a “new jewel” for the state. And behind the design of the $52 million, 476-acre park in Shannon County near the Ozarks that once housed Camp Zoe was St. Louis-based landscape and urban design firm SWT Design. The company now is on track to take in $3.5 million in revenue by the end of this year after seeing 7 percent of growth over the past five years, according to co-founder and partner Jim Wolterman.
