Texas tycoon Sam Wyly battles IRS in $3B tax trial

Jurors in Dallas heard opening arguments and testimony Wednesday in the trial of North Texas tycoon Sam Wyly in what the Internal Revenue Service has called one of the largest tax fraud cases in U.S. history. The IRS says Wyly owes the agency more than $2 billion for using offshore trusts to shelter income and avoid paying taxes.
