
The Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber, a group founded in 1994 to support Latino business owners, has selected Oscar Arana as its new president.
Arana follow long-time president and founding member Gale Castillo, who announced her retirement last year.
Before taking the Hispanic chamber helm, Arana most recently served as director of strategic development and communications for Portland's Native American Youth and Family Center. He also spent time as a field organizer for Oregon Sen. Ron Wyden.
