The Kansas Supreme Court heard arguments Thursday in the case of a chief district court judge challenging a 2014 law.
The law allows judges in each district to elect a chief judge, the Topeka Capital-Journal reports.
Currently, the high court chooses chief judges for Kansas’ 31 judicial districts.
