Carolinas HealthCare System's bid to block construction of a Fort Mill hospital has been denied by a state judge in South Carolina.
S.C. Administrative Law Court Judge Phillip Lenski ruled against the Charlotte health-care system's motion for a stay tied to the issuance of a certificate of need for the long-proposed hospital.
The court had ruled in December that Piedmont Medical Center be awarded the rights to construct the hospital — the third time it had received such approval.
