Asset management employee goes to prison for $4M embezzlement

Thomas Hauk of Overland Park was sentenced to nine years in federal prison without parole for embezzling $4.16 million from Assured Management Co. in Westwood.

Hauk was an accountant at Assured Management from 2005 to 2015 and engaged in several schemes that defrauded the company's clients.
