
Donald R. Seawell, founder of Denver's downtown performing-arts center and for decades a Denver leader in arts and media following a career in government and the New York and London stage, has died at the age of 103.
Seawell's achievements were many and varied, from working at the Securities and Exchange Commission and helping to prepare for D-Day to publishing the Denver Post, launching the Denver Center for the Performing Arts and serving as a longtime leader of the city's arts scene.
