A San Antonio law firm has secured a $4.2 million judgment in a natural gas royalties case filed against a company owned by oil giant Anadarko in Zapata County.
Judge Jose Antonio Lopez with the 49th State District Court in Zapata County handed down a final judgment against Kerr-McGee Oil & Gas Onshore LP on Monday.
Los Corralitos Ranch owner Betsy Mecom and Wahatoya, Ltd. filed a breach of lease lawsuit against Kerr-McGee back in 2007. Kerr-McGee is owned by oil and natural gas giant Anadarko.
