A Miami jury found George G. Levin liable for five counts of civil securities fraud for funneling investor funds to Scott Rothstein’s Ponzi scheme.
The Securities and Exchange Commission won the jury verdict against the Fort Lauderdale financier on April 1 after a trial before Judge Ursula Ungaro. Levin’s attorney, Daniel Rashbaum in Miami, couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.
