A Portland lawyer wants to help an anti-whaling group overcome a contempt of court ruling that could affect efforts to thwart what it calls "illegal Japanese whale hunts."
Sea Shepherd Conservation Society said the case "has dangerous implications for all U.S. businesses operating internationally." It has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review a Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals decision finding that it violated an injunction to remain at least 500 yards away from Japanese whaling vessels.
