The Michaels Companies (Nasdaq: MIK) is being sued in a Dallas federal court over vases a federal agency alleges were too fragile for handling and led to injuries for consumers.
In September 2010, glass vases made by Olathe, Kansas’ Gerson Co. were recalled from Michaels shoppers because they “can break or fracture, posing a laceration hazard to consumers,” according to a release from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
