US Foods will pay the state of Florida a multimillion-dollar settlement for the "deceitful billing" of the Department of Corrections.
The state on Wednesday announced that it had secured a $15.5 million settlement from the food service supplier for inflating the prices it charged the DOC from 2008 to 2014.
The settlement comes after a multiyear investigation by the Department of Financial Services’ Office of Fiscal Integrity.
