A Jackson County jury decided Wednesday that neither the Kansas City Royals nor the man struck by a hot dog during a game were at fault for the incident, The Associated Press reports.
The accident occurred in 2009 when Overland Park resident John Coomer was struck in the eye with a hot dog during mascot Sluggerr's hot dog launch. Coomer was later diagnosed with a detached retina and sued the Royals for negligence in 2010.
