Bank of America Corp. (NYSE:BAC) and JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM) are putting to rest some debts that have been haunting consumers’ credit reports, despite having already been discharged through bankruptcy, according to The New York Times.
The newspaper reports the move is a big win for borrowers as the banks, two of the largest in the nation, have agreed to update credit reports within the next three months to show that debts were eliminated.
