Court ruling to delay $1.4B convention center project for up to 4 months

A King County judge on Wednesday said the Washington State Convention Center cannot restart the process to replace the fired contractor on the massive expansion project.

Superior Court Judge Beth M. Andrus said the convention center must either proceed with the Skanska-Hunt joint venture under the framework originally agreed to for the $1.44 billion building, or abandon that framework and bid the project using a method the convention center didn't want to use.
